Is there an important conference coming up in over the next few months that you’d like to present your latest research and receive critical feedback as well as add to your CV but don’t have the financial resources to attend? Then look into the Conference & Research Grant from the Institute for Humane Studies.

This unique grant provides up to $750 to graduate students (and untenured junior faculty) to cover travel costs, conference fees, and other career and academically-related expenses like:

  • Presentations at academic or professional conferences

  • Travel to academic job interviews on a campus or at professional/academic conferences

  • Submission of unpublished manuscripts to journals or book publishers

  • Expenses associated with trips to archives to collect additional research data

Applications are considered on a rolling basis and should be submitted at least four weeks in advance of your fundable activity.

At any phase of your academic career, look to the unique resources of IHS to help you realize your promise as a champion of change to make the world better.
