CFP: Video Gaming and Digital Culture for NEPCA

The Northeast Popular/American Culture Association is seeking papers on the topic of digital media for its annual fall conference to be held on the campus pf Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH October 30-31, 2015

For the video gaming and digital media area, we are especially interested in papers using concepts from literary and cultural theory to critique / analyze / explore video games and other non-linear visual and digital media. However, all papers on digital media will receive full consideration.Some paper titles from last year’s panel:

“Three Spaces of Combat: Deleuze and Virtual Tactics”

“The Descent of Gerard Genette and the Rise of Ken Levine”

“Pixelated Feminism: The Evolution of Women in Gaming”

Please follow the submission instructions for sending your abstract/proposal to the 2015 Program Chair, Professor Kraig Larkin, or simply send to the area chair for video gaming and digital media, Jeffrey P. Cain, Ph.D. (cainj@sacredheart.edu). Please be sure to include the acronym NEPCA in the email subject line. The current deadline for proposals is June 15th, 2015, but earlier is better.
