Call for Nominations for the PCA/ACA 2017 Elections
To the PCA/ACA community,
The nominations committee, headed by Sue Matheson, has issued this call for nominations for the 2017 PCA Elections.
Nominations are solicited for six elected positions in the PCA/ACA
Position #1:
Seeking nominations for a Vice President/President Elect. Candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in working closely with the President of the PCA/ACA to ensure the health, well-being, and continued development of the PCA/ACA. Candidates must possess experience in serving the PCA/ACA as an Area Chair or a member of the Governing Board and
demonstrate a strong commitment to the PCA/ACA organization.
Position #2:
Seeking nominations for a Vice President of Curriculum & Instruction. Candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in developing curricula, instruction, and research in popular culture studies and providing leadership for the PCA/ACA. Experience in creating, building and maintaining websites is desired. Finally, candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to the PCA/ACA organization.
Position #3:
Seeking nominations for an At-Large Governing Board Member. Candidates must demonstrate a robust willingness to serve the organization, as well as possess significant experience within the PCA/ACA.
Position #4:
Seeking nominations for an At-Large Governing Board Member. Candidates must demonstrate a robust willingness to serve the organization, as well as possess significant experience within the PCA/ACA.
Position #5:
Seeking nominations for an At-Large Governing Board Member. Candidates must demonstrate a robust willingness to serve the organization, as well as possess significant experience within the PCA/ACA.
Position #6:
Seeking nominations for an At-Large Governing Board Member. Candidates must demonstrate a robust willingness to serve the organization, as well as possess significant experience within the PCA/ACA.

All nomination statements must be limited to two pages in length. Each nomination statement must include the following:
1) Statement of interest in the PCA/ACA position.
2) Experience or background in the PCA/ACA that supports qualifications for the position.
3) Vision statement for the position. (250 words maximum)
Nomination packets should also include4) An attached, updated CV.

Deadline:
Nominations must be received by February 20, 2017. All follow-up nomination materials must be received by February 22, 2017.
