We’re ecstatic to welcome Anna Biller as our Keynote Speaker for NEPCA 2024!
Anna Biller is a visionary writer and director known for her stunningly visual, female-centered films that blend feminist themes with a retro aesthetic. With a BA in art from UCLA and an MFA in art and film from CalArts, Biller has crafted a distinct cinematic style that has garnered international acclaim. Her cult hit Viva and the critically lauded The Love Witch showcase her mastery of visual storytelling and deep understanding of genre.

Celebrated as one of “The 21 Masters of Horror Shaping the Genre Right Now” by Rotten Tomatoes, Biller’s work continues to challenge and redefine the boundaries of contemporary cinema. In 2021, she expanded her artistic repertoire with the publication of her first novel, Bluebeard’s Castle, a Gothic fiction that further cements her as a multi-talented creative force.
